The posted compensation range of $16.83 - $23.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Requisition ID 2025-447645 Employment Type Full Time Department Behavioral Health Hours/Pay Period 80 Shift Day Weekly Schedule Full time days, rotating weekends Remote No Category Mental Health Job Summary and Responsibilities A peer support specialist is a person with "lived experience" who has been trained to support those who struggle with mental health, psychological trauma, or substance use. Experience in coping with life events successfully despite having a mental health challenge. Help individuals in setting and achieving their own goals. Maintain high standards of personal conduct. Teach and role model the value of every individual’s recovery experience. Job Requirements High School Graduate or GED required Must have experience with own personal mental health/substance abuse challenges. Experience as a Peer Support Specialist or working in a Psychiatric or Human Services setting preferred Where You'll Work CHI Health Immanuel, located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street, offers a full-service hospital, cancer center, rehabilitation center, specialty spine hospital and more.
