The posted compensation range of $16.83 - $23.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
A peer support specialist is a person with "lived experience" who has been trained to support those who struggle
with mental health, psychological trauma, or substance use.
Experience in coping with life events successfully despite having a mental health challenge.
Help individuals in setting and achieving their own goals.
Maintain high standards of personal conduct. Teach and role model the value of every individual’s recovery
experience.
Job Requirements
High School Graduate or GED required
Must have experience with own personal mental health/substance abuse challenges.
Experience as a Peer Support Specialist or working in a Psychiatric or Human Services setting preferred
