Job Description
The Engineering Support Specialist is a hands-on technical leader who turns engineering intent into action. This role owns complex support functions, drives process improvements, and ensures seamless execution across production, process, and product environments through strong manufacturing expertise and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex support functions within the manufacturing environment.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution across production, process, and product environments.
- Utilize manufacturing expertise to turn engineering intent into actionable outcomes.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Design and Process Engineering.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and creating work instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing facility of nearly 500,000 square feet, specializing in sheet metal production for shelving units. The building is older with some outdated equipment, resulting in a noisy environment due to ongoing fabrication and manufacturing lines. Office spaces are located above the manufacturing floor for easy access to production lines and meetings. Engineers will primarily spend their time on the floor, working alongside production support and managing their projects. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
