Catholic Family Service is seeking a dedicated Contractual Counselor - licensed LMSW or LPC who lives out Christian values and feels called to serve individuals and families in need.
Join us in providing compassionate counseling in our Saginaw and Bay City offices, supporting individuals who are underinsured or uninsured.
This is meaningful, mission‑driven work. Compensation is modest but fair. It's based on per session rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical intakes: Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, background, and immediate needs.
- Deliver psychotherapy: Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family counseling tailored to diverse client populations.
- Develop treatment plans: Partner with clients to create, implement, and periodically review measurable therapeutic goals.
- Provide crisis intervention: Deliver immediate risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis management as required.
- Coordinate case management: Connect clients with essential community resources, healthcare providers, and external support networks.
- Maintain clinical documentation: Complete timely intake reports, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Participate in clinical case reviews and staff meetings to optimize holistic client care.
Requirements:
Education: Masters Degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counselor
Licensure: State License or Registration required at the highest level for which the individual is qualified (ex: LMSW )
Experience: Experience related to the responsibilities of the position is preferred.
Skills: Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a wide variety of clients and also with co-workers in both routine and stressful situations.

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
