Overview:
Saint Columbkille Parish in Ft. Myers is seeking a manager for the St. Columbkille Thrift Store.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining the schedule of volunteers.
- Ordering and/or shopping for all products and supplies including cash register, cleaning, office, paper, pricing, snacks, and workbench.
- Organizing social events for volunteers.
- Work with the Accounting Manager in the collection of bad checks.
- Work with customers returning merchandise.
- Work with customers regarding complaints/problems.
- Organize sales and promotions.
- Maintain craft table.
- Maintain order in back room/pod.
- Clean/price jewelry.
- Maintain bookshelves.
- Send birthday cards and get-well cards as appropriate to customers and volunteers.
- Simple filing, correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some retail sales/store experience a plus.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull and climb on a regular basis throughout the day.
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including Saturday.
- Must pass Level II FDLE background check.
