Title: Substitute Teacher
Reports to: Principal
Location: Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School | Venice, FL
Overview
Epiphany Cathedral Catholic School is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide educational instruction to students in assigned age group or subject area for short-term assignment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned when regular teacher is unavailable.
- Provide corrective feedback to students and re-teach as necessary, to ensure students have mastered the objections.
- Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians and other educators to assist the students.
- Implement approved-course curriculum.
- Implement modifications in a student's education plan as required.
- Complete written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Principal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Florida State Certification (or approved application for Certification).
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to work independently and in groups.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Knowledge of theory and practice of student learning styles.
- Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances.
- Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with staff, students and parents.
- Strong computer skills.
