Overview
The Coordinator of Religious Education/Youth Ministry will plan, integrate, implement, oversee, and evaluate the religious education/faith formation of the total Parish community.

Job Responsibilities
- Administer catechetical programs: Faith Formation in Grades K-10, Sacramental Preparation, Home School Supervision, and Youth and Young Adult Faith Formation.
- Maintain Sacramental Records.
- Assist the Pastor in planning Parish short and long-term goals regarding the religious education program.
- Prepare and administer the Religious Education operating budgets in accordance with budget policies.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Pastor and other Parish ministries on an on-going basis regarding scheduling and promotion of events.
- Obtain approval of Pastor for all off-premise events or special events impacting the broader parish.
- Develop plans and implement for the recruitment and training of catechists and volunteers.
- Schedule regular catechist and volunteer meetings to encourage the development of a catechetical faith community.
- Assist catechists and volunteers with their certification requirements.
- Meet the requirements of safe environment policies regarding Safe Environment Training for Youth.
- Act as a liaison between the Parish and the Diocesan Office of Religious Education and Youth Ministry.
- Attend Diocesan meetings related to Religious Education, Youth Ministry and Safe Environment Programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a practicing Catholic;
- Bachelors Degree in Theology, Catechetics or related field.
- 3-5 years of successful experiences in youth programming, either through employment or voluntary work
- Excellent organizational, leadership and communications skills both written and oral.
