Position Overview
Holy Rosary Catholic School is seeking a dynamic and innovative STEM Teacher to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in students from preschool through eighth grade. As a faith-filled educator, the STEM Teacher will integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with Catholic values, fostering both academic excellence and moral development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive STEM curriculum aligned with state standards and appropriate for PreK–8 students
- Design engaging, hands-on, and project-based learning experiences that promote inquiry, creativity, and problem-solving
- Integrate technology effectively into instruction, including coding, robotics, and digital tools
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners at varying developmental levels
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross-curricular connections and enhance student learning
- Foster a classroom environment that reflects Catholic values, including respect, responsibility, and service
- Encourage teamwork, perseverance, and ethical use of technology
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and administration
- Maintain and organize STEM materials, lab equipment, and technology resources
- Support school-wide initiatives such as STEM nights, fairs, or extracurricular clubs
- Uphold and model the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church in all interactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM-related field, or a related discipline
- Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience teaching STEM or related subjects at the elementary and/or middle school level
- Strong understanding of child development across PreK–8 grade levels
- Familiarity with STEM programs such as robotics, coding platforms, or engineering design processes
- Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the spiritual mission of the school Skills and Attributes
