K-3 Intervention Specialist 2025-2026
Holy Trinity School is seeking a qualified K-3 Intervention Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will support students needing additional academic interventions to achieve their highest potential, while working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators.
Major Responsibilities
Provide targeted, small-group or individualized instruction in reading, writing, and math to K-3 students identified as needing academic intervention.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), intervention plans, behavior plans, accommodation plans, and service plans as needed.
Assess student progress regularly and adjust interventions based on data-driven decisions.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and ensure consistent academic support.
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and specialists to promote student growth.
Participate in Student Support Team meetings and contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of student interventions, progress monitoring, and service delivery.
Uphold and model the Catholic values and mission of Holy Trinity School.
Collaborate with local public school districts to coordinate services and documentation for students receiving support through the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
Candidates must:
Hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (Early Childhood (P-3) or Mild/Moderate Needs, or similar appropriate endorsement).
Be compliant with all Ohio Department of Education and Diocese of Cleveland requirements for employment.
Obtain and maintain SafeParish (formerly VIRTUS) child protection certification.
