As the School-Based Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Provide social work services, individual and group therapy, psycho-educational groups, assessments, referrals, behavioral management, support services and family casework for the students at Arbor Hill Elementary School
- Attend faculty meetings, Instructional Support Team, Family Support Team, and any other meetings deemed appropriate by the School principal;
- Provide case management services by establishing linkages and referrals for service provision within the greater health, human service and health care communities;
- Assist classroom teachers in dealing with children with specific behavioral issues
- Plan and develop plans for group work on various topics (anger management, self-esteem, anti-violence, communication skills, conflict resolutions, etc.)
School-Based Social Worker Minimum Salary: $33.25
School-Based Social Worker Maximum Salary: $33.25
School-Based Social Worker Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
*This is a 10-month position based at Arbor Hill Elementary School work with children from Kindergarten - 5th grade*
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work in related field OR LMSW/LMHC
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle
