As the Housing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through: Â
- Screening and approval of applications, qualifying prospective residents per requirements outlined in the Tenant Selection criteria.
- Regular inspection of apartments, buildings, and grounds.Â
- Ensuring proper maintenance of the units, buildings and grounds as per HUD’s Housing Quality Standards including health and safety monitoring equipment (smoke detection and fire alarm systems).Â
- Collection of monthly rents and other ancillary income.Â
- Monitoring delinquencies and taking necessary steps to collect including but not limited to making personal contact, drafting written notice, and initiating the eviction process.
- Approaching tenant/landlord relations in a proactive manner and resolving resident complaints.Â
- Providing continual guidance to tenants via tenant meetings, mailed notices, and one-on-one communication regarding requirements of the lease, Code provisions and the Section-8 program.Â
- Enforcement of conditions of lease agreement, working closely with case management to engage tenants in appropriate corrective action plans.

Housing Manager Minimum Salary: $ 22.00/hour
Â
Housing Manager Maximum Salary: $ 25.00/hour
Â
Housing Manager Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours/week)

Qualifications: Â
- Associate's degree in Property Management (preferred) or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience working with a diverse population
- 3 - 5 years of experience in leasing/property management
- Valid Driver's License, proof of current car insurance and registration, access to a reliable working vehicle
- Must have a personal cell phone
