Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician with a strong background in general maintenance and multiple trades. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical systems, carpentry, grounds maintenance, electrical work, and plumbing. This role is essential in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Complete carpentry tasks such as repairs, installations, and modifications
- Maintain outdoor areas including landscaping, snow removal, and general grounds upkeep
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve potential issues proactively
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
- 21 Years of age or older
- Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a commercial, industrial, or residential setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use modern technology and computer systems
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Also working in a team setting is preferred
- Valid NYS driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- HVAC experience
-Facility alarm, security and camera systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks
