Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with professionalism, warmth, and empathy.
- Answer phones and in-person inquiries; provide information about services and program hours.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming front lobby and restroom area.
- Distribute snacks, drinks, and hospitality items to guests.
- Track visitor activity and support data collection for client services.
- Assist with SNAP applications and renewals, ensuring compliance with program rules.
- Provide referrals to internal programs or external community resources.
- Collaborate with staff to meet client needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Demonstrate trauma-informed care and de-escalation when needed.
- Contribute to team meetings, maintain shared spaces, and support hospitality supplies.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional training in administration or customer service preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in front desk, hospitality, or customer service roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
- Comfortable engaging with individuals experiencing crisis or homelessness.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French Creole) a plus.
- Familiarity with social services and SNAP is helpful but not required.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or emergency hours.
- Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.
