JOB SUMMARY: The Clinician provides comprehensive behavioral health services including intake assessments, group counseling, treatment planning and review, documentation, supervision of interns, and coordination of care. - Perform initial psychiatric assessment/evaluation of consumers during intake process.
- Collaborate with consumers and interdisciplinary staff to determine the most appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop, implement, review, and revise treatment plans in accordance with regulatory and agency standards.
- Identify client problem areas and strengths and collaborate with clients to establish measurable, realistic treatment goals.
- Review and sign off on treatment plans as required.
- Plan, structure, and facilitate groups focused on skill development and recovery.
- Monitor group attendance and individual progress and communicate updates to the treatment team.
- Ensure coverage for scheduled groups during planned absences.
- Support consumers in articulating their experiences through empathy, validation, reality testing, and strength-based interventions in groups.
- Maintains a client caseload.
- Review intern documentation, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with clinical and ethical standards.
- Support intern skill development through case consultation, observation, and performance evaluation.
- Complete all required documentation in compliance with DMHAS, DMAHS/Medicaid, and agency standards.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical records.
- Maintain established program productivity standards.
- Present new client cases and updates at weekly staff meetings and as needed.
