Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor or Program Director, the Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible to provide substance abuse assessment, education and counseling to clients. The job includes providing assessments, facilitating group, individual and family sessions, case management, treatment planning, recovery support services, and record keeping. This job requires a solid foundation in substance abuse knowledge, ASAM criteria and good communication skills. Work is done under clinical supervision by an LCADC or CCS.
Salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year plus Sign On Bonus - $2,500

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group and family counseling for OP/IOP adolescent program
- Conduct substance use and mental health assessments, treatment planning and discharge planning
- Identify and implement community-based prevention education
- Member of treatment team serving adolescents with substance use and co-occurring disorders
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 2 years of experience in substance abuse field.
- Must possess Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or LCADC credential required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
