What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLERK, FLOWER SHOP PT position at Catholic Cemeteries?
Summary & Objective
Responsible for all flower shop duties. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission; values and operating principles of the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Essential Functions
- Receives daily flower deliveries, prepares and properly stores the flowers.
- Assists in preparing all weekly, monthly and special occasion floral arrangements for grave/mausoleum placement.
- Must keep all areas of work clean and free of debris.
- Assists with cleaning all flower buckets to prepare for the new week.
- Must be available for all Holiday and Special events that the cemetery may have.
- Must record all flower sales and flower contracts for both cemeteries in the cash register.
- Reconcile and submit cash register money daily.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Other Duties
- Provides orientation to new employees as needed.
- Maintain your required license, certifications and mandatory skill updates.
- Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
- May serve as an interim department leader depending on need
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.

Requirements:Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Completion of floral arrangement course
- Must have knowledge of computer office software
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
