JOB TITLE – Nurse Manager, Senior Behavioral Health
St. Veronica Behavioral Health Hospital at Catholic Care Center
St. Veronica Behavioral Health Hospital is a specialized 20-bed inpatient facility located on the Catholic Care Center campus in Bel Aire, KS. Focused on the mental and emotional health needs of seniors, the hospital provides short-term acute behavioral health care, particularly for individuals with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Rooted in a ministry of compassion and dignity, the hospital delivers holistic, patient-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and Mental Health Technicians
- Manage daily operations and staff scheduling
- Conduct performance evaluations and promote staff development
- Lead department quality improvement and compliance initiatives
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and clean care environment
- Oversee continuing education, licensure, and training tracking
- Collaborate with physicians and other departments
- Monitor patient care delivery and provide constructive feedback
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN required; MSN or master’s degree preferred
- Candidates with an associate degree (two-year RN) will be considered with 5 years of acute behavioral health experience and at least 1 year of charge nurse or management experience in a hospital or psychiatric setting
Compensation and Benefits
- Salaried position: $95,000–$100,000
- $5,000 sign-on bonus
