We are seeking a motivated and energetic HR Intern to join our Human Resources team at Cates Control Systems for the summer. This internship is ideal for a college student interested in recruiting, talent acquisition, social media, and human resources. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the hiring process while helping promote our company and career opportunities through creative recruiting content.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with recruiting activities for open positions
- Review resumes and help screen candidates
- Schedule interviews and communicate with applicants
- Post job openings on job boards and social media platforms
- Help create and manage recruiting-focused social media content
- Assist in developing recruiting videos and employee spotlight content
- Support college recruiting and internship outreach efforts
- Participate in career fairs and recruiting events
- Help maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting records
- Assist with onboarding activities for new hires
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
What We’re Looking For
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creative mindset with interest in social media and content creation
- Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok preferred
- Interest or experience in video editing, Canva, or content development is a plus
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable interacting with candidates and employees
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
