Catering by Corey | Asheville, NC (East Asheville – near Highland Brewing)

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking team member to join our kitchen crew as a Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher / Event Support. This is a key behind-the-scenes role that supports our chefs and keeps our kitchen and equipment clean, organized, and event-ready.

Schedule:
Wednesday–Sunday, approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (end time may vary)
Sunday availability is required
Hours may vary seasonally, with busier periods in the spring and fall

Pay:
$18–$20/hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do:
This is an all-hands-on-deck position focused at our kitchen. Responsibilities include:

• Dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen
• Breaking down and fully cleaning the kitchen at the end of the day
• Assisting with packing and loading vans for events
• “Flipping” vans—unloading, cleaning, and resetting them for the next event
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment such as hot boxes and coolers
• Handling and organizing rentals (plates, silverware, glassware, etc.)
• Supporting kitchen prep during slower periods
• General kitchen support—jumping in wherever needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Team player who’s willing to help wherever needed
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability and punctuality (especially for Sundays)
• Comfort with physically active work (lifting, cleaning, being on your feet)
• Previous kitchen or dish experience is a plus, but not required
