What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Planner position at Catena Solutions?
The Materials Planner will be responsible for establishing manual inventory controls for packaging commodities and managing phase in/phase out processes to support operational readiness during a transition project. Contract length: 12-18 months
*Hybrid work schedule. Must be available to be onsite 3 days/week*
Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels, trends, and variances
- Update ERP with material availability dates, planning parameters, and status changes for phase in/phase out cycles.
- Coordinate the phase in/phase out process in alignment with internal teams to ensure label approvals and artwork readiness.
- Ensure obsolete material exposure is minimized and controlled.
- Review purchase orders to identify minimum order quantity violations.
- Support creation, monitoring, and adjustments of subcontracting POs related to packaging components.
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing risk areas, inventory exposure, and transition progress.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in supply chain, ideally in a planning role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
