We are a fast-growing Florida-based insurance agency headquartered in the Tampa Bay area, specializing in individual health insurance solutions under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicare. In addition to our core health offerings, we provide year-round insurance and financial services designed to support individuals and families throughout the United States.
With a dynamic workforce of approximately 1,300 employees, primarily licensed insurance agents, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR operations and help shape the culture, policies, and performance of our rapidly expanding organization.
The Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all human resource strategies, policies, and programs across the company. This executive leader will oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience in a high-growth environment and a strong understanding of modern HR practices, regulatory requirements, and talent strategies aligned with company goals.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s mission, growth objectives, and business goals.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing HR team covering talent acquisition, compliance, training, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Partner with senior executives to drive organizational effectiveness and workforce planning.
- Oversee employee engagement and retention programs, promoting a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, EEOC, and Florida-specific employment regulations.
- Develop and manage compensation, incentive, and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs to support employee success.
- Lead initiatives to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
- Manage HR systems, data analytics, and reporting to inform executive decision-making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on all people and culture matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or SHRM-SCP/PHR certification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling HR operations within a fast-growing or multi-site organization.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation strategy, and HR best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Experience in the insurance, financial services, or healthcare industries is a plus but not required.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Tampa Bay, Florida, and work on-site.
