Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using our table management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant’s offerings
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support food safety protocols and ensure cleanliness standards are upheld in the host area
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred, with a strong focus on customer service excellence
- Proficiency in restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Micros POS or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling tables, bills, and reservation counts accurately
- Knowledge of restaurant table management systems and food safety standards
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Hospitality-minded with a genuine passion for guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres
