The primary duties will be performing in-house testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor. Duties of the Laboratory Technician include:
Receiving and identifying lab samples to be processed within the lab.
Preparing and testing samples in accordance with material testing standards.
Maintaining clear test results to be turned in to lab management and project engineers.
Calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and instrumentation used for testing.
Maintenance and organization of laboratory facility.
Qualities of Laboratory Technician should include:
High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Ability to comprehend and adhere to detailed procedures.
Consistency and eagerness to improve.
Good teamwork skills accompanied by transparency and good communication.
Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
