Job Summary:
Catawba Two Kings Casino is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The successful
candidate will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments in a timely and
accurate manner. This role supports the overall operations of the casino by ensuring materials,
equipment, and supplies are distributed appropriately across departments. The clerk maintains
inventory records, verifies deliveries against purchase orders, and adheres to all company policies
and gaming regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
• Record shortages, damages, or discrepancies and report them to the appropriate
department.
• Unload incoming shipments.
• Deliver items to appropriate departments within the casino property.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area and warehouse/stockroom.
• Enter receiving information into inventory control system.
• Coordinate with vendors, couriers, and internal departments regarding delivery schedules
and special handling requirements.
• Follow all property safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials when
necessary.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and periodic audits.
• Ensure all paperwork and documentation are complete and compliant with internal policies
and applicable gaming regulations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report equipment malfunctions, inventory shortages, and safety concerns promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience, required.
Preferably in a hospitality or casino environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License as required by tribal
and state authorities.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer skills, (Microsoft Office, inventory
databases).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
• Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed, to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to secondhand cigarette smoke).
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands
and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of
sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk;
climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move
up to 50 pounds.
