Job Summary:

Catawba County ABC Board is growing, come grow with us! Are you someone who has experience in a warehouse department? This is not just your average warehouse position, working at Catawba County ABC Board offers so much more. This is not a forklift position, must have great hand truck experience!

This position performs work in the ABC warehouse including receiving, storing, and distributing products and supplies and routinely maintaining the appearance of the warehouse functions. The major function of the position is to receive and deliver products accurately, safety and efficiently to the 11 Catawba County ABC stores. Forklift is very rarely used, most of work utilizes manual hand truck, so using a manual hand truck is essential. This position requires a lot of lifting and moving of liquor cases. Working in a Team environment is essential. Experience in driving a box truck is essential!!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Pull and deliver all orders for liquor and supplies for all stores.

Replenish reorganize warehouse as needed.

Fill all delivery orders for liquor for all stores.

Pick up all paperwork and deliver to office personnel.

Scan orders for delivery

Load & Unload trucks at warehouse and stores

Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by verifying the accuracy of receipts and deliveries of liquor shipments by matching physical quantities against written lists.

Break down trucks for delivery

Stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment

Able to drive box truck to deliver inventory, materials, tools, or other stock items to any of the 11 ABC stores.

Frequently use of a hand truck to move product.

Occasionally use forklift to move product.

May participate in monthly warehouse inventory activities.

Performs routine facility, lot and vehicle cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed.

Maintains housekeeping in warehouse to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Must be able to lift up to 80#

Have valid driver’s license.

Performing any other duties as requested by Manager.

Tools and Equipment Used

Standard office equipment, scanners, forklift, hand trucks, box cutters, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

Skills:

Ability to speak, read, and write English in a capacity sufficient to perform tasks of position. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Knowledge of and familiarity with stock handling and inventory control methods and procedures.

Ability to discern product codes and names and complete various inventory forms.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid NC driver’s license and safe driving record, Forklift and hand truck experience a plus.

Work Environment:

This position works mainly in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment. On a routine basis, position is required to travel to and work in/visit ABC stores.

May need to drive company box truck to and from stores

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience in a distribution center setting
• Proficiency in picking & packing, stocking, and inventory control with use of hand truck.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment is used but rarely
• Strong attention to detail for quality control and order accuracy
• Capability to handle heavy lifting and load/unload tasks
• Valid driver's license and English proficiency for communication
• Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.63 - $20.00 per hour
