What You’ll Do
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you’ll play a key role in helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare patients for eye examinations and explain preliminary testing procedures
- Obtain patient histories and perform diagnostic testing
- Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists during patient exams and procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, medications, and supplies
- Coordinate scheduling and help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and team members
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and patient-centered environment
- Support physicians and clinic leadership with additional clinical and administrative tasks as needed
