Overview Bilingual (English-Spanish) Professional Development Specialist Per Diem | Hybrid in Los Angeles, California Position Details: Positions begin in the current school year 2026-2027. Per diem (minimum number of hours are not guaranteed). Schedules vary based on individual school needs. Skills needed in elementary school experience, middle/high school experience, math/science/STEM and ELA background Must be bilingual English-Spanish How you’ll be there for educators and students: Be their career guide. Responsibilities As a Professional Development Specialist with Catapult Learning, you will: Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash the creative potential of educators. Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually/one-on-one. Craft creative example lessons that captivate students. Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed. Research and demonstrate instructional strategies. Foster a culture of active participation and vibrant open discussions. Ensure all educator development is completed successfully. Provide report documentation as required. Communicate actively with directors regarding activities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications What we’ll need from you: The positive, enthusiastic Professional Development Specialist we seek has these qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred). Experience teaching math, literacy, science or other relevant curriculum. 5 years of experience delivering professional development workshops to adult educators. 5 years of experience coaching teachers and/or school leaders either cognitively, instructionally or within a specific content-area focus in mind. Must live in Los Angeles. must be bilingual English-Spanish. Excellent communication skills.
