Job description: Compounder (Bilingual)
Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm
Monday - Friday / some Saturdays
Position Summary:
Receive work orders from Compounding Manager/Supervisor. By using our ERP system, locate each needed ingredient, weigh each ingredient according to the Batch Production Record (BPR) following First in First Out (FIFO). Identify each pre-weighed ingredient and allocate the ingredients in the staging area. Ensure to transfer each ingredient used to the appropriate Bin location in the ERP system for traceability. Verify each ingredient according to the BPR, follow the instructions and processes described in the BPR, execute each work order and compound, take samples to QA and transfer batches into totes or barrels, with QA approval. Perform sanitation to tanks, pumps and lines as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Use ERP system to identify ingredient location, physically transfer ingredients to and from warehouse to compounding department, with the use of dollies or forklift
· Pre-weigh ingredients as required following formulas/written procedures using approved/calibrated scales, and place in properly sanitized containers
· Properly tag ingredients for use
· Properly operate processing equipment (i.e., pumps, tanks, mixers, etc.)
· Initial batch sheets and sign tank cards to verify that the formulas/procedures were followed when compounding each product.
· Draw a sample of product from the tank to be taken to lab for testing.
· Identify incorrectly prepared batches and inform Supervisor(s) immediately
· Fix incorrectly prepared batches by following formulas/written procedures and using math skills to problem-solve formulas.
· Ability to use controls to operate and drive forklift
· Communicate effectively frequently with supervisor and other compounders
· Transfer ingredients into ERP system to keep inventory accurate
· Compound assigned batches as required,
· Sanitize equipment using trained safety protocols as required
· Skills and Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
For entry level, 2 years competent experience in compounding personal care products and/or pharmaceutical ingredients
For senior level, 5 years competent experience in compounding personal care products and/or pharmaceutical ingredients
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Competencies:
Speaks clearly in English, and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings
Writes clearly and informatively in English; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information in English
Basic math, ability to work well with others and be a team player
Computer Skills:
Basic Microsoft required
NetSuite (ERP system) experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Standing for long periods
Ability to move and/or lift ingredient containers up to 50lbs comfortably.
Forklift experience preferred
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
