What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Account Manager- Healthcare Travel Staffing position at Catalytic Solutions?
Company Description Catalytic Solutions (CatSol) is an AI-enabled travel healthcare staffing agency. Our mission is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare staffing, and in doing so, help reduce the overall cost of healthcare delivery through more optimal, data-driven staffing decisions. We use AI to drive workflow automation across every functional area of our business — from sourcing and credentialing to timesheet processing and account management. This isn’t AI as a buzzword; it’s the engine behind how we move faster, match better, and operate leaner than legacy staffing agencies, freeing our team to focus on what technology can’t replace: real relationships with clients and clinicians.
We’re Joint Commission-certified, placing nursing and allied health professionals into healthcare, correctional, and educational settings, primarily through MSP/VMS partnerships. We’re scaling our footprint across new vendor management systems and managed service providers, and are looking for a relationship-driven Sr. Account Manager to lead that expansion.
Role Description The Sr. Account Manager, VMS/MSP Growth is responsible for expanding CatSol’s presence across new and existing Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This role owns the relationships that determine how much job order visibility, submission access, and fill volume CatSol receives — building trust with Account Managers and operational contacts on the VMS/MSP side to unlock new business, improve job access, and drive submission-to-conversion rates. This is a remote, individual-contributor role reporting directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate brings an existing rolodex of relationships across most of the top VMS/MSP platforms and can activate those connections
quickly. The Sr. Account Manager will monitor assignment performance, address client and provider concerns, and collaborate on process improvements that enhance service delivery.

• Identify, prioritize, and pursue onboarding opportunities with new VMS platforms and MSPs relevant to clinical Travel healthcare staffing
• Track and report on pipeline of prospective VMS/MSP relationships and onboarding status

• Build and nurture consistent, high-trust relationships that translate into greater job order visibility and preferred-vendor status
• Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and performance conversations with VMS/MSP counterparts
• Represent CatSol professionally in all vendor-facing communications, escalations, and issue resolution
Job Access & Order Flow
• Work with VMS/MSP contacts to maximize the volume and quality of job orders released to CatSol
• Monitor tier/ranking status within each VMS and proactively address any factors limiting access (fill rate, response time, compliance, submission quality)
• Flag and resolve system or workflow issues that restrict CatSol's ability to see or act on open orders
Conversion Support
• Partner with the recruiting team to improve submission-to-interview and submission-to-fill ratios
• Provide market and program intelligence (rate trends, order volume patterns, client preferences) to help recruiters prioritize the right jobs
• Follow up with VMS/MSP contacts on submitted candidates to accelerate decisioning and close gaps that stall conversions
Reporting & Strategy
• Maintain accurate records of VMS/MSP relationships, contacts, contract terms, and performance metrics
• Provide the CEO with regular updates on expansion progress, relationship health, order volume trends, and conversion performance
• Recommend strategic priorities for which VMS/MSP relationships to deepen or pursue next

• 7 years of experience in healthcare staffing, MSP/VMS account management, or a related client/vendor relationship role
• Established, existing rolodex of relationships with Account Managers and operational contacts across most of the top VMS/MSP platforms required, not just familiarity with the systems
• Proven track record of building relationships that lead to measurable business growth (expanded access, higher fill rates, new client wins)
• Strong understanding of the travel healthcare staffing lifecycle — from job order to submission to conversion
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
• Highly organized and self-directed; comfortable owning a book of relationships independently in a remote setting

• Growth in the number of active VMS/MSP relationships and new platform access
• Increased job order visibility and volume from existing VMS/MSP partners
• Improved submission-to-conversion rates across managed accounts
• Strong, responsive relationships with VMS/MSP Account Managers reflected in preferred-vendor or top-tier status
