Location: Corcoran, CA
Contract Length: 6-month renewable contract
Schedule: 5x8s
Shift: AM 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | PM 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM | NOC 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Pay: $90/hr (All Inclusive)
Overtime (OT) and Double Time (DT) available
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver safe, consistent, and patient-centered nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment in Corcoran, CA. This position is ideal for RNs who thrive in structured, fast-paced settings and want to make a meaningful impact in underserved and high-acuity populations. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, wound care, triage, documentation, care planning, and collaboration with custody and medical teams to maintain safety and continuity of care. Requirements
Active physical California RN license (hard copy required)
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in correctional, ER, ICU, med-surg, psych, or acute-care environments
Current BLS certification from AHA only
Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check and full correctional security clearance
Strong assessment, communication, and de-escalation abilities
Skills and Competencies
High-level clinical judgment and rapid assessment skills
Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
Strong triage capabilities and emergency-response readiness
Effective communication with RNs, LVNs, mental health staff, and custody teams
Knowledge of correctional protocols, safety standards, and infection control
Unit Information
Setting: Correctional Facility – Inmate Healthcare Unit
Support Staff: RNs, LVNs, Physicians, Mental Health Clinicians
Travel Contract Details
6-month renewable assignment
Weekly pay via direct deposit
