Job description
This is a caller position that works to schedule, confirm, and reschedule provider appointments for our members. Stellar customer service skills are necessary to ensure that the best care is provided to our members. We are looking for an individual who is driven by goals and accomplishments, but also is a team player ready to help move with the team towards success.
This role has the following work schedule: 9am-6pm
Salary: From $17.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments with internal providers, with consideration of route distances and times
- Outbound calls to inform and confirm each member's upcoming appointment
- Managing multiple providers schedules
- Support member needs with great customer service
- Assist in the coordination of medical transportation appointments as needed
- Build rapport and relationships with our members, and all associates/providers on the CHP team
- Serve as the conduit of information, sharing your knowledge and insights from all perspectives of a conversation. You speak with the members daily and will report relevant/additional information to the member’s team
- Work diligently with attention to detail in collecting data and information to support clear and complete communications/documentation with others, minimizing rework and frustrations
- Shows ability to properly and correctly document details within a member’s chart
- Maintain a level of curiosity and use active listening skills to help uncover potential unanswered questions for members
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion in all actions and reactions with the member. Be available and responsive. Follow-up on any questions or issues in a timely, thorough manner.
- Exhibit a willingness to grow and expand into other areas and pitch in as an active, supportive member of the CHP team whenever needed or asked.
- Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and energy throughout the engagements with the members and team.
- Recognize and honor your role in the team care process. You are a front-line point of contact, and a mentor and example and as such, aspire to represent CHP’s values, mission, and service promises in every action.
Description
As an appointment scheduler with CHP, you are working to add our members to our providers’ schedules for monthly visits. Given we go out to the members’ homes to see them, you are expected to map providers routes during scheduling to prevent unnecessary long travel distance/mileage. Additionally, you will be reaching out to members 3 days in advance to confirm their appointments. While speaking with members on the phone, you are also ensuring their questions are being answered and their needs are being met. Periodically you will audit providers schedules to ensure you have all members scheduled and properly routed. This is a position where you will work as part of a team to ensure our members receive great care and fantastic customer service.
Skills
- Ability to provide great customer service to our members
- Ability to multitask throughout your day to keep yourself and your team on track for meeting and exceeding the team goals
- Ability to use mapping software to properly schedule members
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion of all needs
- Ability to listen, empathize, and discern the needs of our members and ensure there’s proper follow-through, communication, and documentation
- Working ability in Microsoft products especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
- Ability to navigate computer systems while also being on phone
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required
