What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Agency Project Manager position at Catalyst Marketing?
Catalyst is a growth marketing agency that pairs seasoned marketing experts with an AI-enhanced tech stack to help ambitious B2B leaders drive revenue faster. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Denver, we work with enterprise clients across tech, cloud, security, and logistics on everything from ABM programs to content production to integrated campaigns. We're remote-first, operationally rigorous, and genuinely curious about how emerging tools can make great marketing even better. We move fast, we use AI where it actually helps, and we need a Project Manager who can keep that engine running smoothly across multiple accounts and dozens of concurrent deliverables.
As a Project Manager, you'll be the operational backbone for a portfolio of enterprise B2B accounts. You'll partner with Account, Strategy, Creative, and Media leads—as well as freelancers and vendors—to move integrated marketing projects from kickoff to delivery.
You'll typically own numerous concurrent projects across multiple accounts at any given time, working alongside a small, collaborative PM team. The best person for this role sees the big picture and the pixel-level details, protects the team's focus, and is always looking for ways to make the process faster, cleaner, and more repeatable, including by putting AI to work in your own workflow.
- Delivering integrated marketing projects on time, on budget, and on brief across the full lifecycle, from scoping through final QA.
- Keeping every stakeholder aligned on status, risks, and next steps through clear documentation, well-run weekly syncs, and proactive communication.
- Partnering with Account leads on financial management at the project level: scoping, estimating, tracking burn, flagging risks early, and closing out cleanly.
- Sourcing, negotiating with, and managing external freelancers and vendors so the work lands at the quality we expect.
- Serving as the final quality gate before anything goes out the door, catching what others miss and making sure every deliverable reflects Catalyst's standards.
- Supporting client-facing work in partnership with Account, showing up as a calm, organized presence when clients need one.
- Identifying and implementing AI-driven workflow improvements that measurably reduce production time, increase team capacity, or improve quality
- Continuously refining our PM playbook: templates, briefs, timelines, estimators, and the small process fixes that compound over time.
- 5 years of project management experience at a digital marketing, B2B, or creative agency.
- A track record managing integrated communications programs across channels, including social, display, video, web, email, ebooks, and long-form content.
- Fluency creating and maintaining scopes, briefs, timelines, budgets, and the underlying process that keeps them honest.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and move multiple concurrent projects forward in a deadline-driven environment without dropping the details.
- Strong, warm communication skills. You listen carefully, write clearly, and default to collaboration over escalation.
- Working knowledge of Asana (or a comparable PM platform), Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline your own work, plus genuine curiosity about where the technology is headed.
- Experience working with large enterprise organizations and the processes that come with them.
• Experience partnering with a media strategist on paid digital campaigns.
• Background working on enterprise tech, cloud, or SaaS accounts.
Asana, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and a variety of AI tools.
