Catalyst Life Services is looking for Residential Counselor Assistants. Training dollars available to assist individuals with obtaining their CDCA.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate documentation
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation or distress
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of resident areas
- Support residents’ participation in social activities and community engagement
- Document observations related to resident behavior, health changes, or safety concerns for team review
- Drive residents to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safety during transportation
Qualifications
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work effectively with clients who are in recovery.
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature essential for caregiving roles
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
- Monitor self-medication and daily living skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including shifts that may include evenings or weekends depending on the facility’s needs
