Reservation Agent
Job Description:
The Reservation Agent is often our guest's first point of contact and sets the tone for the guest experience by sharing knowledge of the property and accommodations to find the perfect match. Our Specialists also aid in creating itineraries for guest and answer any questions they may have in the booking and pre-arrival process. They are our main telephone operators, respond through email, telephone and SMS and are responsible for guiding our guest's journey through thoughtful and intentional assistance...with our signature Southern hospitality.
Essential Functions:
- Act as first point of contact via telephone or email and aid guests in planning their adventure to Cataloochee Ranch.
- Actively upsell and seek adventure, F&B, and experiential bookings to develop an itinerary.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
- Provide accurate information about the availability of rooms, rates and amenities.
- Process reservations and confirm reservations for upcoming vacations.
- Process deposit payments for upcoming guest bookings.
- Maintain property information including room availability, occupancy, availability changes, check-in/check-out times, fees, specials, etc.
- Assist in resolving problems or concerns.
- Provide feedback to management regarding services provided and areas for improvement.
- Aid in check in/out and Guest Services duties as assigned including Mercantile, Reception, Valet, or otherwise as business demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred required in related field.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel). Outlook email. Word processing software is required. Excellent customer service is a major requirement of this position.
