Catalent Wellness Greendale is a rapidly growing manufacturer of dietary supplements in a soft chew format.
The Role:
- Responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting costs associated with production, operations, or service delivery. Plays a critical role in determining product cost accuracy, supporting pricing decisions, monitoring inventory valuation, and helping leadership understand cost drivers and profitability.
- Develop, maintain, and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze actual vs. standard cost variances and identify root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
- Reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger.
- Perform cycle count analysis and support full physical inventories.
- Analyze production efficiency, labor utilization, machine hours, and overhead absorption.
- Prepare cost-related journal entries (inventory adjustments, variance postings, overhead allocation).
- Support development of production budgets and cost forecasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field of study, required.
- Minimum five years required in accounting.
- Advanced proficiency with various ERP systems, Sage or JDE, preferred.
- Advanced PC skills, including advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g. Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas), required.
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.
