The Cat Hospital at Towson (CHAT) is looking for a passionate and skilled full-time certified veterinary technician to join our feline-exclusive practice in Maryland! Come grow with us!
CHAT was founded as Maryland’s first ever cat-exclusive animal hospital. Successful candidates will possess effective communication skills and the desire to overcome challenges with a willingness to share your knowledge, experience, and compassion with our patients, clients, and team. As a certified veterinary technician with Cat Hospital at Towson, you will be responsible for:
- Possessing a valid veterinary technician certification (required)
- Bringing a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience (required)
- Applying AAFP Cat Friendly and/or Fear Free handling techniques (required)
- Performing dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring, and pain management with confidence and precision
- Demonstrating proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography
- Collection and setting up various laboratory diagnostics
- Ensuring compliance with DEA and OSHA standards, while maintaining accurate records and protocols
- Updating and maintaining electronic medical records with accuracy and efficiency
- Providing compassionate, professional client service and education
- Exhibiting strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care
- Navigating practice management software and Microsoft Office applications with proficiency
