What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Consultant position at Castro & Company, LLC?
We are currently seeking Junior Financial Analyst interested growing their career in public accounting while serving our federal clients. We will provide you with a supportive team, resources, and training to succeed.
What will you do in this role:
· Developing Process Narratives, Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs), and flowcharts.
· Writing and updating federal financial management policies.
· Facilitating interviews with government points of contact (POCs) to obtain necessary
information.
· Managing the activities of junior staff.
· Reviewing and assessing compliance with OMB Circular A-123.
· Making defensible positions, by considering courses of action and considering the most
beneficial options to the government, when faced with problems.
· Performing financial statement analytical review.
· Prepare technical briefings to Castro Senior Management.
· Drafting accounting position papers.
· Assisting with developing requirements and cross-walking changes.
Your qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or business-related field from an accredited school.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in financial/accounting operations, internal controls, audit remediation, or audit.
· Experience conducting internal control assessments, risk assessments, entity level control assessments and verification and validation (V&V) of corrective action plans.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage workload and provide timely updates on multiple work streams affecting all aspects of the A-123 process.
· Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a basic government suitability check (US Citizenship required).
