Castleton Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care / Treatment Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our dedicated team! This position includes participation in a weekend on-call rotation.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide Essential Treatments: Administer physician-ordered treatments, including wound care, IV therapy, and specialized clinical interventions.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Conduct regular assessments of resident conditions, documenting vital signs, healing progress, and any notable changes.
- Collaborate with Care Teams: Work closely with physicians, fellow nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Educate and Support: Help residents and their families understand care plans, medications, and follow-up routines.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure timely and complete documentation in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Promote Safety & Best Practices: Adhere to infection control guidelines and clinical safety protocols.
- Current RN or LPN license in the State of Indiana.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Experience in wound care, IV therapy, and treatment planning is strongly preferred.
- Prior work in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
