Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the full admissions process from inquiry to move-in
- Respond to walk-in, phone, and online inquiries promptly and professionally
- Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources (hospitals, social workers, case managers)
- Review clinical and financial information to determine admission eligibility
- Verify insurance coverage and ensure accurate financial documentation prior to admission
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to evaluate prospective residents
- Maintain accurate records in admissions and electronic systems
- Address and resolve resident or family concerns during transition
- Support census growth through outreach and follow-up communication
- Participate in marketing and community engagement efforts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience in healthcare admissions, intake, or related field preferred
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing strongly preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor in appearance, behavior, and communication
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification processes
- Experience working with hospital discharge planners or referral networks
- Sales or marketing background in healthcare settings
