Job Summary
Castleton Health Care Center is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and laundry teams. This role ensures our facility remains sanitary, attractive, and compliant with all health and safety regulations, enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping and laundry operations throughout the center.
Train and manage housekeeping and laundry staff to uphold cleaning standards and safety protocols.
Schedule shifts and manage staffing to maintain consistent, high-quality service.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation and infection control policies.
Manage supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and related administrative tasks.
Collaborate closely with nursing staff, infection control, and other departments to address environmental needs.
Handle resident and staff concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and effectively.
Maintain accurate records and assist with the implementation of the facility’s housekeeping program.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in commercial housekeeping/laundry operations.
At least 2 years of experience working in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local health regulations, including OSHA and infection control standards.
