Marketing Coordinator

Castle Island Brewing Company is looking for a full-time Marketing Coordinator to help amplify our mission to make beer fun, accessible, and excellent. With taprooms in Norwood and South Boston, this role offers the right candidate an opportunity to step into a key position and fuel the next wave of brand excitement for Castle Island.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Coordinator manages company communication channels and supports content creation, graphic design, event promotion, and the execution of day-to-day marketing activities. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to operate independently. Regular travel between company locations and occasional night and weekend availability are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies that support brand values and business objectives.
- Manage social media channels, create engaging content, and cultivate an active online community.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to produce marketing materials and promotions that support wholesale distribution and retail partners.
- Support Taproom teams through event marketing, in-store signage, and on-premise communication.
- Oversee design and procurement of print collateral, merchandise, and point-of-sale (POS) materials.
- Assist with graphic design projects, including poster design, social media graphics, and general layout work.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity.
- Maintain and update the brewery website to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Manage business information and customer interaction across third-party platforms (Google Business, Yelp, etc.).
- Build, deploy, and optimize email marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and respond to inbound messages from the website contact form.
- Track and report on marketing campaign performance, sharing insights and recommendations with leadership.
- Manage inbound and outbound press communications.
- Work with external partners (designers, photographers, event organizers, etc.) to bring marketing initiatives to life.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in beer marketing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of marketing experience, preferably in beverage, CPG, or hospitality.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Creative thinker with a knack for developing compelling campaigns and visuals.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite required).
- Passion for beer and a basic understanding of the craft brewing industry a plus.
- Reliable transportation for travel between locations and off-site events.
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $59,000 – $63,000
