About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team in Madison, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting attorneys in residential and/or commercial real estate transactions, including contract management and client relations both pre-and post closing. Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions (commercial and/or residential)
- Draft and review of closing materials, closing documents, and other real estate-related agreements
- Liaise with clients, realtors, title companies, and lenders to coordinate transaction logistics
- Prepare and organize documentation for closings, including settlement statements
- Monitor contract deadlines, contingency periods, and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain case files and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Experience as a real estate paralegal, preferably in New Jersey is desired but not mandatory
- Proficiency with title review, closing procedures, and document preparation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to lean internal real estate legal software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both residential and commercial transactions
- Familiarity with HUD-1 and ALTA settlement statements
- Notary Public in the State of New Jersey (or willingness to obtain)
