What are the responsibilities and job description for the E911 Dispatcher position at Cass County Government?
This job requires the individual to answer administrative and 911 incoming calls – Give pertinent information and assistance to those callers – Enter data into the computer – Dispatch and monitor 22 agencies on the radio frequencies to which they are assigned and accomplish the tasks they require – Monitor the activity and safety of those agencies and other resources. Additionally, 9-1-1 dispatcher regularly utilize 5 to 7 different computer programs at the same time.
Cass County Central Dispatch (E-911) currently operates on 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off, and successful applicants must expect to work nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
