YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CIVIL ENGINEER SUMMER INTERN

Each day as a Civil Engineer Summer Intern, you arrive on site ready to put your skills into practice. You receive and verify material quantities as shipments are delivered, inspect construction materials, and sample asphalt and aggregates for testing. Throughout our internship, you check haul tickets, review reports, and handle essential administrative tasks in the field office. You perform precise field measurements, run calculations, and document data to confirm pay quantities. Out in the field, you collaborate with your crew while setting location and elevation stakes, assisting with GPS surveying, and even tackling minor project management duties on smaller projects. Every day brings hands-on experience and the chance to make a real impact on ongoing projects.

Here's what we need from you:

• High School Diploma and completion of one year of a formal education in Surveying, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction curriculum

OR

• 1 year of surveying or highway construction experience may be substituted

The following qualifications are preferred:

• 1 year completed of a 4-year Civil Engineering or Construction Management Curriculum

OR

• 1 year completed of a 2-year Surveying or Construction Tech Curriculum, and familiarity with construction testing procedures
