Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our project lifecycle by developing accurate cost estimates for low voltage solutions, including network cabling, security systems, access control, AV integrations, and fire alarm systems. Leveraging Caspian's proprietary tools and services—such as system analysis, tactical security solutions, and 24/7 support infrastructure—you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to deliver competitive bids that align with client needs and our commitment to excellence. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about low voltage technologies and driving profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Analysis and Estimating: Review project specifications, blueprints, and RFPs to prepare detailed cost estimates for low voltage installations, including materials (e.g., Cat6 cabling, PoE switches), labor, equipment, and overheads using Caspian’s network integration and site analysis methodologies.

• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Source and negotiate with suppliers for low voltage components, ensuring alignment with Caspian's focus on secure, compliant hardware and software solutions.

• Budget Development: Create comprehensive bid packages, value engineering proposals, and risk assessments to optimize costs while maintaining high standards for system reliability and cybersecurity.

• Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to provide technical input on proposals, and with project managers to refine estimates based on on-site assessments and 24/7 monitoring requirements.

• Reporting and Compliance: Track estimate accuracy, generate reports on cost variances, and ensure all estimates adhere to industry regulations (e.g., NEC, BICSI standards) and Caspian's compliance protocols.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of low voltage trends, such as IoT integrations and smart building technologies, and contribute to internal tools for enhanced estimating efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3 years of experience as a Low Voltage Estimator or in a similar role within the cabling, security, or AV industry.

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel advanced).

• Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, Alarm Systems, CCTV, access control, Nurse Call and fiber optics.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred:

• BICSI or NICET certification.

• Experience in healthcare or manufacturing sectors, aligning with Caspian's industry focus.

• Familiarity with Caspian’s solutions, such as tactical network security and continuous system monitoring.
