What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appliance Repair Technician position at Caspi Home Service?
Caspi Home Service is a family owned appliance repair company serving homeowners in Charleston, Summerville, Columbia, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando. We're looking for skilled Appliance Repair Technicians who take pride in fixing things right the first time and treating customers with respect.
This is a contractor (1099) role. You get a steady flow of booked jobs in your area without having to chase your own leads.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential appliances: refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, microwaves and ice makers
- Work on major brands including Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Bosch, KitchenAid and Maytag (high end experience with Viking, Thermador, Sub Zero, Dacor or Café is a big plus)
- Explain the problem and repair options to customers in plain language before starting work
- Order and install parts, then complete follow up visits
- Keep job notes, photos and invoices updated in our scheduling app

What We're Looking For
- 2 years of hands on appliance repair experience
- Strong diagnostic skills with electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems
- EPA 608 certification (preferred, required for sealed system work)
- Your own reliable vehicle and basic tools
- Smartphone and comfort using a job app
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
- Professional, on time and good with customers
