Position Summary
The Nurse (LPN or RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered nursing care to residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This position is responsible for supporting resident health and well-being through clinical assessment, medication administration, care coordination, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members.
The ideal candidate is clinically strong, emotionally intelligent, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to providing exceptional care to seniors.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nurse at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center, you will:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans, physician orders, facility policies, and professional standards.
- Assess, observe, and document residents’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions, promptly reporting changes to the appropriate clinical team members.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, accurately, and in compliance with established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, registered nurses, CNAs, rehabilitation staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote positive clinical outcomes.
- Educate residents and families regarding care plans, treatments, medications, and ongoing health needs.
- Supervise, guide, and support CNAs and other direct care staff in the delivery of daily resident care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in infection prevention, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Respond effectively and professionally to changes in condition, urgent situations, and medical emergencies.
- Protect resident dignity, rights, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Contribute to a culture of compassion, accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to deliver safe, effective, person-centered care.
- Ability to care for residents with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with residents, families, and team members.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Adaptability, professionalism, and sound problem-solving skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- A genuine passion for serving seniors with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
