Position Summary: The Pond Management Technician supports the Pond Division by assisting with the completion of pond management projects and treatments while collaborating with coworkers and supervisors to enhance client water resources. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, travel throughout the region, and close coordination with team members across the Pond, Habitat, and Lake Divisions. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, problem-solving in dynamic environments, and contributing to high-quality environmental management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of pond management strategies aligned with client objectives
- Support aquatic pesticide applications and nutrient mitigation efforts
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of aeration and fountain systems
- Prepare, load, transport, and unload equipment and materials required for projects
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of facilities, tools, and materials
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding services, schedules, and arrivals
- Collaborate with coworkers across divisions to support project completion
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications (Required):
- Ability to lift 85 lbs. or more
- Ability to work outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- Willingness to travel daily, with occasional overnight stays
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally with coworkers and clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to report to the Berlin, WI office location daily
Preferred (Not Required):
- Wisconsin Aquatic Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
- Basic plumbing and/or electrical knowledge
- Hazardous Materials Certification
- Wisconsin Boater Safety Course (or comparable certification)
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
