POSITION SUMMARY
The Hotel Room Inspector is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of each guest room as well as the common area of the hotel. The Hotel Room Inspector will also be responsible for establishing quality service standards throughout the entire housekeeping department. Your duties include but are not limited to, effectively communicating with team members regarding operational tasks/events and delivering exceptional customer service to our internal and external guests, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.)
- Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings
- Assign keys and room assignments to the housekeeping team members.
- Approach all encounters with Hotel guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Be a team player.
- Weekly report low inventory items to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager and/or Director of
Hotel Operations.
- Ensure all completed guest rooms are coded into the system daily.
- Check all suites daily to ensure cleanliness for our VIP guests.
- Inspect all rooms and spot-check rooms that have been cleaned by each Room Attendant.
- Complete a minimum of one (1) written inspection per week on each Room Attendant and turn it in to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
- Check each room for occupancy, even if vacant.
- Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party Ensure complete daily reports, audit and checklists promptly.
- Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leaders
- Help Room Attendants complete rooms if short-staffed.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED, required
- 1 year of Room Inspector experience (preferred)
- Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
