What are the responsibilities and job description for the COUNT TEAM MEMBER position at Casino Queen Inc?
The Count Team Member is responsible for preparing all monies to be transferred to the vault area, this includes counting, wrapping, and verifying. Count Team Members will removed, replace, and transport bill validators and currency containers from slot machines on the casino floor and securely deliver to the Soft Count room in accordance with internal control procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collect, transport, count, wrap, total, verify, and record all monies from the gaming floor to the Count Room
- Pull cash boxes from machines and replace with empty boxes in all gaming machines
- Ensure the security of all gaming machines by verifying all doors are locked
- Ensure the security of all retrieved cash boxes
- Perform duties as assigned such as key, runner/helper, or cart person
- Verify each cash box has been retrieved and maintain inventory
- Retrieve/replace Bill Validator boxes and count all money within
- Place and sort correctly drop boxes for next shift
- Record all counts for the Auditing Department
- Prepare paperwork and money for transfer to the Vault Area as directed
- Provide security and accountability of Company funds entrusted to the Soft Count Room
- Monitor the operation within the Soft Count Room ensuring all applicable personnel adhere to all rules, laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the Internal Controls for the Cage and Credit Department
- Ensure all facilities and equipment are available and functioning properly in the Soft Count Room
- Perform all opening/closing duties as assigned
- Learn and implement all rules, laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the Cage and Credit department, including Title 31
- Must report all suspicious persons, activity, or hazardous conditions to management immediately

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED
- Six months of high volume cash handling experience preferred
- 10-key experience preferred
- Some computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
- One year related experience and/or training
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and written in English
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License
