What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Assistant Shift Manager position at CASINO PAUMA?
SUMMARY:
Supervise slot department during the assigned shift. Ensure that all areas are staffed and directs all slot personnel throughout the shift. Serves as witness on major jackpots and signs checks. Maintain the highest standards of customer service and integrity in the slot department.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee department operations during the assigned shift to insure exceptional customer service.
- Assist slot attendants with correcting coin, hopper and bill collector jams; complete hopper fills.
- Witness all major jackpot wins, sign jackpot checks, and complete hand pays.
- Communicate with customers to answer questions and resolve disputes. Implement all Casino procedures relating to slot operations and monitor areas for cleanliness.
- Perform special assignments as assigned by Slot Shift Manager and/or Slot Director.
- Develop shift schedules and schedule employees. Insure that shift is properly staffed at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years experience working as a slots employee in a casino with coin/cash/ticket-slots with at least one year as a slot Lead Attendant or higher.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of effective money handling procedures.
- Ability to make change and mentally perform basic math calculations.
- Skilled in resolving customer and employee relation issues.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
